It is all relative isn’t it?

I’m learning that it’s not just me and Catherine, but it’s happened pretty well every summer I can remember - plans are made with the best intentions and assumptions of vast quantities of time in which to accomplish them.

Well, the we’re all having a fantastic summer - it’s been warm and sunny out here on the west coast.

Kids have been in and out of camps - only one camp received a “meh” report. Sam has been in gymnastics camps, Alex has been in Theater and Gymnastics and Chris has been in Engineering, Swimming and Football. When they’re off camp, we doodle around accomplishing errands and such.

The “big” thing to happen this summer though is Sam learning how to ride her bike without training wheels. Sure, we still have to look out for bushes along the sidewalk as they seem to have some sort of magnetic force on her bike...

Other than that, we’re off to a whirlwind tour of southern Ontario next week - visiting grandparents, aunts, uncles and lots of friends all up and down the 401 corridor!
